Our store, website, products, content, tools, features, and related services are referred to here as the “Services.” Shopify supplies the platform that makes the Services available. This notice explains personal information handling when you browse, shop, complete a transaction, use the Services, or communicate with us. If our Terms of Service conflict with this notice about collecting, processing, or disclosing personal information, this notice takes priority.

What we do with it

The information used depends on how you interact with us and the Services you choose. Our purposes include:

• Shopify and vendors supporting IT, payment processing, analytics, customer assistance, cloud storage, order fulfillment, and shipping.
• Business and marketing partners supporting marketing and advertising. Shopify features may support personalized advertising using activity across merchants and websites. Partners apply their own privacy notices. Depending on your location, you may direct us not to share information for such targeted marketing through Your Privacy Choices.
• Third parties when you request, direct, or consent to disclosure, including delivery services and social-media widgets or login integrations.
• Affiliates and members of our corporate group.
• Parties involved in a merger, bankruptcy, or other business transaction; recipients needed to meet legal obligations such as subpoenas or warrants; and disclosures to enforce policies or protect the Services and our rights or those of users and others.

Shopify’s role

Shopify hosts the Services and collects and processes information about access and use to provide and improve them. Information submitted through the Services is transmitted to Shopify and other parties, including parties outside your country. Certain enhanced Shopify features we use to protect, grow, and improve our business combine information from interactions with our store, other merchants, and Shopify.

For these enhanced features, Shopify is responsible for its processing and for handling rights requests about that processing. Read the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and, where available for your location, use the Shopify Privacy Portal to learn about or exercise your rights.

Your choices and rights

Your location determines which rights may apply. Rights may be limited, subject to exceptions, or available only in certain circumstances; we may decline requests where the law allows. You may have rights to:

• Access or learn about the personal information we hold about you.
• Ask for personal information to be deleted.
• Have inaccurate personal information corrected.
• Receive a copy or request transfer to a third party in certain circumstances, subject to exceptions.

• Stop promotional emails using their unsubscribe option. Account, order, and other non-promotional emails may continue.

If you live in the UK or EEA, applicable local law may also let you object to or restrict particular processing and withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing. Withdrawal does not invalidate processing carried out lawfully beforehand.

Exercise available rights through the indicated Services or by contacting us. We do not discriminate against people who exercise these rights. Where allowed or required, we may verify your identity. An authorized agent may act for you under applicable law; we require evidence of that authorization and may ask you to verify your identity directly. Requests receive a response within the time required by applicable law. Shopify-specific rights information is available through its Privacy Portal.

Children and young people

The Services are not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children below the age of majority where they live. A parent or guardian may contact us to request deletion if a child has supplied personal information. As of this notice’s effective date, we have no actual knowledge of selling or sharing personal information of people under 16, as those terms are defined by applicable law.

Keeping information secure and deciding how long to keep it

No safeguard is impenetrable, and perfect security cannot be guaranteed. Information in transit may be insecure; avoid unsecure channels when sending sensitive or confidential details. Retention depends on the need to maintain your account, deliver Services, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce contracts and policies.

Links may lead to websites or platforms we do not control. Review their privacy, security, and other terms before using them. We do not guarantee their security, privacy, or the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of their information.
